Customer Experience Shift Leader

The Prince George Public Library is looking for a person with strong customer service skills to join us in the role of Customer Experience Shift Leader. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is detail oriented, and has supervisory or lead-role experience. Principal responsibilities include providing account services for library customers and acting as a leader on regularly scheduled desk shifts. This position is approximately 20-25 hours per week. Availability to work a variety of shifts at both branches of the library is a must—including days, evenings until 9:15 PM, and weekends.


The successful candidate will have:

  • 3 to 5 years customer service work experience in a comparable public setting with the proven ability to resolve inquiries or complaints.
  • 2 to 3 years work experience in a supervisory or lead-role position.
  • Excellent people and customer service skills and superior communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to deal with conflict and challenging customers.
