Publication Award
The Jeanne Clarke Local History Award for publication goes to the Canadian Federation of University Women - Prince George for the book Street Names of Prince George - Our History.
The group produced a 50 page document in 1970 entitled Prince George — British Columbia: Street Names A-Z. A second edition, Street Names of Prince George: Our History was published in 1989 as a major revision with 144 pages. Then in 2005 a third edition with the same title, but 168 pages was published.
For all three editions, the hundreds of entries and the layout of pages have been done by numerous volunteers. Their persistence over 35 years has produced an invaluable reference work on the history of Prince George.
