Calling all chess enthusiasts and future grand masters! Learn to play with our giant chess set or put your knowledge to the test against other seasoned players.

Beginners: 5:00 - 5:30p.m.
Intermediates: 5:30 - 7:00p.m.

What to Expect
Usually takes place indoors in a quiet, comfortable space
The lighting is bright and not adjustable
Accessible and inclusive washrooms are available by taking the elevator or stairs to the main level
Participants can sit in comfortable chairs or stand
Multiple stations running at the same time

It's important that our programs are accessible for everyone. We offer sensory materials for youth including wiggle cushions, ear defenders, and fidget toys at the main service desk—you do not need a library card.
