Tours & Outreach Request Form

This form is for use by those who wish to schedule one of the following:

  • A free guided tour of the Bob Harkins or Nechako branch for your students or your organization members
  • A PGPL staff visit to your school or organization to provide an overview of library services
  • Other library outreach services for your school or organization
     

Please note that tours & outreach sessions are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis and while we do our best to accommodate all requests, our capacity is limited. Bookings require at least 2 weeks' notice.

Important Tour Scheduling Information

To accommodate the high demand for this service, each class or organization is limited to one guided tour per year. If you would like to visit us again, send us an email at ask@pgpl.ca, or ask your tour leader for more details!

You will receive an email from a library staff member to confirm your date and time within 2 business days. Please do not schedule transportation or make any other arrangements until you have received this confirmation.

Please complete one form per class/organization. Due to spatial and staffing limitations, we can only host one class/group of up to 30 people at one time. If you would like to bring two classes/groups on the same day and the total number of people exceeds 30, you may select "Yes" to "Would you like to book a double tour with Two Rivers Gallery?". Our staff will contact Two Rivers and determine which dates are available for double tours. In a double tour, one class/group visits the library while the other visits Two Rivers, then they switch locations. This typically results in a 3-hour field trip. Lunch space may be provided at the library, upon request. There is no cost for library tours; there may be costs for visits to the Two Rivers Gallery.

Tour Information

For school tours It is the teacher's responsibility to ensure a sufficient number of adults are present to support their class during the tour.  Library staff are not responsible for supervising children.
