It's important that our programs are accessible for everyone. We offer sensory materials for youth including wiggle cushions, ear defenders, and fidget toys at the main service desk—you do not need a library card.
Our branches are fully accessible. Bob Harkins Branch has an elevator; Nechako Branch is on one level. If you have any questions about accessibility or need accommodations, please email ask@pgpl.ca with the program title and your question, or call us at 250-563-9251 ext. 100.

Complete challenges between July 5th and August 24th, 2026, for a chance to win one of seven gift cards from local businesses worth $50 each.
Draws will be held on Tuesdays starting July 14th and ending August 25th, 2026. Winners will be selected randomly from that week's entries.
How It Works
- You will receive one ballot for each accomplished task and one ballot for every PGPL program you attend.
- Anyone aged 19+ can participate, no library card is required.
- Email your competed tasks to summer@pgpl.ca before Monday evening of each week, or visit either library branch to fill out a paper ballot.
- Winners must be able to come to a Prince George Public Library branch to pick up their prizes.
