It's important that our programs are accessible for everyone. We offer sensory materials for youth including wiggle cushions, ear defenders, and fidget toys at the main service desk—you do not need a library card.
Our branches are fully accessible. Bob Harkins Branch has an elevator; Nechako Branch is on one level. If you have any questions about accessibility or need accommodations, please email ask@pgpl.ca with the program title and your question, or call us at 250-563-9251 ext. 100.
Frauds & Scams
-
Bob Harkins Branch
In 2025, Canadians lost over $704 million to fraud, with technology such as AI providing fraudsters with powerful tools to create highly convincing impersonations and deceptive marketing schemes. This presentation introduces what frauds and scams are, common methods and schemes targeting Canadian seniors, safety strategies, and resources to consult if you or someone you know has been affected by frauds/scams.
In partnership with Senior First BC.
