Frauds and Scams

In 2023 in Canada, there were 62,365 reports of fraud totaling 41,111 victims of fraud with a total of $554M lost. This presentation introduces what frauds and scams are, common methods and schemes targeting Canadian seniors, safety strategies, and resources to consult if you or someone you know has been affected by frauds/scams.

It's important that our programs are accessible for everyone. We offer sensory materials for youth including wiggle cushions, ear defenders, and fidget toys at the main service desk—you do not need a library card.
