Whether you’ve taken a class, traveled abroad, or just love the sound of Spanish, this group is perfect for anyone with some basic Spanish knowledge who want to gain confidence through casual conversation. We’ll explore everyday topics, play simple language games, and help each other grow - mistakes welcome! Come connect with fellow learners in a relaxed and supportive environment.

● Takes place in a quiet, low-traffic room
● Semi-private or small group setting
● Adjustable lighting levels
● Participants may be asked to use their voices (singing, reading aloud, etc.)
● Chairs available; participants may also stand or move
● Freedom to enter/leave at any time
● Hands-on materials with different textures (sticky, soft, rough, etc.)
● Discussion of real-life topics (e.g., family, culture, history)
● Activities adaptable to different abilities
● Storytelling or role-play elements
● Participants can bring their own snacks
● Group discussion and sharing
● Pair or partner work
● Interactive and hands-on
● Accessible washrooms on the same floor
● Program designed to be inclusive of different abilities
It's important that our programs are accessible for everyone. We offer sensory materials for youth including wiggle cushions, ear defenders, and fidget toys at the main service desk—you do not need a library card. Our branches are fully accessible. Bob Harkins Branch has an elevator; Nechako Branch is on one level.
