
The 2013 Jeanne Clarke Local History award for service was presented to Marilyn Wheeler whose work has documented the lives of the people of the Robson Valley. Marilyn is a former high school and elementary school teacher who founded the Robson Valley’s first kindergarten. She wrote the acclaimed Robson Valley Story, a historical narrative of the Robson Valley since settlement. She is a founding member of the Valley Museum and Archives Society, and currently serves as Chair. Marilyn also chairs the Whistlestop Art Gallery and is a board member of the McBride & District Public Library and the Robson Valley Arts and Culture Council.
