Will Writing Basics

Do you have a will? More than 50% of Canadians admit they don't have one. A will ensures that your wishes are carried out after you're gone. It is never too early to write your will! Join the Justice Education Society and Lawyer Chanelle Gilbert virtually for an hour long presentation about the basics of will writing, what to include in your will, who to choose as your witnesses and executors, and when to get legal assistance. Witness requirement changes due to COVID-19 will also be discussed.

CHANELLE GILBERT

Chanelle Gilbert is a young lawyer based in Victoria, BC. Her practice focuses on all aspects of estate and incapacity planning, estate administration, and advising non-profit and corporate organizations. She volunteers on the Boards of the Young Lawyers Victoria section of the Canadian Bar Association, and  the Haliburton Community Organic Farm Society. When not in the office, she enjoys gardening, and is doing her best to keep her dog out of her vegetable plot.
