Gentle Seated Tai Chi

Join instructor Tom Hynd as he leads us through a Tai Chi form originally developed as a restorative practice for people suffering from arthritis. Anyone is welcome to join us for an hour of easy-to-follow gentle movement that can be done seated or standing.

August 1 - Enviro-Shopping Tips Back-to-school & Fashion that supports Environmental Sustainability - Join us to talk about how fall and holiday shopping for fashion can be more eco-conscious. We will cover topics such as what is quick and slow fashion (and why this matters), what brands are enviro-focused, shopping used, repurposing or upcycling old clothing, and more.

Gardening Knowledge in the Knowledge Garden

Unlock the mysteries of the Knowledge Garden by visiting with library staff and City of Prince George gardeners during the annual planting of the garden. Ask questions, watch professional gardeners at work, and learn how citizenship, food security, and beauty are entwined in this versatile public space! Children will have the opportunity to plant their very own bush bean and bring it home to grow!

Be sure to visit the Knowledge Garden throughout the summer to see how the plants are growing, and pick some fresh fruits or veggies to bring home!
