July 7: Bring your favourite books, manga, or graphic novels to share in this classic Book Talk! A Book Talk is a chance to highlight what makes a book awesome to you – is it good storytelling? Cool characters? Suspenseful plot? Bring as many books, manga, or graphic novels as you want.

July 14: Make bad art! Gather whatever art supplies you may have, whether it is glue & knick-knacks to water-colour paint & a dollar-store canvas. Our goal: To create the best piece of “bad” art possible! Be ready to be creative, have fun, and share your awesome art!

July 21: Relax and unwind with this introduction to guided meditation.

July 28: Make ice cream-in-a-bag at home! Due to popular demand, we will be doing a step-by-step ice cream make-along on Google Hangouts. For this make-along, make sure to have access to the following ingredients:
1 cup of half-and-half cream
2 tbsp of granulated sugar
1/2 tsp of vanilla (or flavour of your choosing) extract
3 cups of ice
1/3 cup of salt

August 4: Put on your creative writing caps for fun and quirky poetry & writing challenges – including word-jumble haikus, slam poetry, and a free-write-extravaganza! Bring pens & pencils, paper, and a lot of imagination!

August 11: Join us for the last Double Digits session of summer with a virtual backyard hangout! We’ll be talking books, hobbies, and summer activities, and showing off our pets, all while enjoying some sunshine. Bubbles & bubble wands are encouraged, but not required.
